The arboretum is very quiet, but looking great
All things yellow at Westonbirt...
You will hopefully be pleased to know that whilst Westonbirt is closed to members and the visiting public, it is still being looked after and cared for. Albeit in line with government guidance and appropriate safety precautions in place.
Wild daffodils near Silk Wood Barn
A flushing full moon maple (Acer japonicum ‘Vitifolium’) near Lodge Gates in the Old Arboretum
Korean Forsythia (Forsythia ovata) near Specimen Avenue
Linderapraetermissa on Circular Drive
On a lighter note, and following my routine inspection of the trees and shrubs within our living collection, I thought I would share everything that is YELLOW at the moment in early spring. The place looked great, even on a dull and overcast day.
Mahoniapinnata on Main Drive
Primroses (Primula vulgaris) on Waste Bank
Rhododendron sp. near Savill Glade
And even the humble dandelion (Taraxacumofficinale) in Silk Wood
