Nature's showcase
A new exhibition is coming to Westonbirt this month, and it's sure to be a hit with nature lovers of all ages. Nature's Showcase brings together a group of talented artists who use nature as a source of inspiration.
The exhibition will feature a wide variety of artwork, including paintings, sculptures, jewellery, and more. The artists, Ann Hunt, Ros Rouse, Christine Dadd & Tracey-Anne Sitch, work in a variety of media including oils, charcoals & watercolour. Jo Whiteland produces items using her batik work, Lin Davies creates jewellery from semi-precious stones. Val Weston embellishes slate and glass with natural images and Dinah Mason Eagers has produced a lovely book about the hidden world of wildflowers in the garden.
The exhibition will take place in the Great Oak Hall from Friday 16 June to Sunday 18 June. Entry to the exhibition after admission to the arboretum is free. The exhibitors are excited to be showcasing their work within such a natural setting, whilst helping raise funds for David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation (DSWF). DSWF is a charity that works to protect wildlife and their habitats.
